This notice explains how we handle the personal data you send us through this website, as required by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, "GDPR") and the Slovak Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on the protection of personal data.
Who is responsible for your data
Chairborn Leadership Group ("Chairborn", "we") is a joint project of two companies, which are joint controllers of your personal data under Article 26 GDPR:
- FLITT, s. r. o., Súmračná 3257/3, 821 02 Bratislava-Ružinov, Slovak Republic, company ID (IČO) 44 307 616, registered in the Commercial Register of the Municipal Court Bratislava III, section Sro, insert no. 53679/B. FLITT, s. r. o. operates this website.
- Fabry Ventures s. r. o., Nad jazerom 1240/26, 900 29 Nová Dedinka, Slovak Republic, company ID (IČO) 57 256 985, registered in the Commercial Register of the Municipal Court Bratislava III, section Sro, insert no. 192353/B, represented by Martin Fabry, managing director.
Contact for anything about your data: hello@chairborn.com. We have not appointed a data protection officer, as the law does not require one for an activity of this size.
How the two companies share responsibility
The two companies have agreed in writing how they share their duties. In short:
- Both decide together why and how your data is used, and both founders, Martin Fabry and Vladimír Houba, can see the data you send through the forms.
- FLITT, s. r. o. runs the website and the forms, gives you this notice and is your point of contact for any question or request.
- Each company keeps the data secure, uses it only for the purposes on this page, and tells the other without delay about any request from you or any security incident.
- You can exercise your rights against either company, whichever you prefer. They will handle the request together.
What we collect, and why
We only collect what you send us through the forms on this site:
- Contact form: your name, email, company and role, and your message, so we can reply.
- Chairborn Circle: the tier you choose, your name, email, your situation and anything you add, so we can send the letter and set up membership.
- The Next Chair: the details in your application, so we can assess it and match a mentor.
- Growth Systems Review first read: your name, email and company, your answers and the result, so we can prepare a written read and any follow-up conversation.
- Webinar registration: your name, email, role and where you are now, so we can send you the link and a reminder. See webinars, events and the founding cohort.
- Webinar for companies: your name, email, company, role, whether you have worked with a fractional or interim leader, and your question, so we can send the link, a reminder and the quiz, and contact you once after the webinar.
- The Owners' Table: your name, email, company, role, experience with fractional or interim leaders, industry and the question you would bring, so we can confirm your invitation and seat one company per industry.
- The Table (evening mastermind): your name, email, LinkedIn profile and your current fractional role, so we can confirm your place and the details.
- Founding cohort application: your name, email, LinkedIn profile, the role you would take on, your situation, years in senior leadership and your short answer, so we can assess your application and invite you to a conversation.
Please do not send us sensitive data (for example about health) or confidential information of your employer through the forms.
Legal basis
- Your request: replying to you, registering you for an event, assessing an application or preparing a result you asked for are steps taken at your request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR): running our events and programmes well, keeping a record of our conversations, the one follow-up contact after a webinar for companies, and protecting the site against misuse. You can object to this at any time.
- Your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR): occasional news about the Circle, the cohort and future events, only where you tick that box. You can withdraw consent at any time with one line to us or the unsubscribe link in any email; this does not affect what we did before.
- Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR): invoices and accounting records for paid events and programmes, which we keep as long as Slovak accounting and tax law requires.
Giving us your details is voluntary, but without the fields marked as required we cannot reply, register you or assess your application.
Scores and results. The Growth Systems Review calculates a result from your answers. It is there to help you and to prepare our conversation. We do not make decisions about you based only on automated processing, and nothing on this site has legal or similarly significant effects on you.
How long we keep it
We keep your details for up to 24 months from our last contact, then delete them, unless a contract with you or the law requires longer. Webinar registrations are deleted 12 months after the event, unless you agreed to receive news. Consent for news lasts until you withdraw it. You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time.
Who processes it for us
We use a small number of providers who process data only on our instructions, under a data processing agreement:
- Netlify, Inc. (USA) hosts the site and receives the form submissions.
- Zoom Communications, Inc. (USA) runs our online sessions (see below).
- Our email and office software provider, where form notifications and our correspondence with you are stored.
Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, the transfer is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses (Articles 45 and 46 GDPR). We do not sell your data, and we never pass it to companies, recruiters or other third parties for their own purposes. We disclose it to public authorities only where the law requires it.
Webinars, events and the founding cohort
What and why. When you register for a webinar or an event, we use your details to send you the joining link, a reminder and, after the session, a short follow-up with any material we promised. For webinars for companies, one of us also contacts you once after the session, including if you could not join. When you apply for the founding cohort, we use your details to assess the application, reply to you and, if it fits, arrange a conversation.
Legal basis. Registering and applying are your requests, so the basis is taking steps at your request and our legitimate interest in running the event or the selection well (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). If you tick the optional box for news about the cohort and future events, the basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), and you can withdraw it at any time with one line to us or the unsubscribe link in any email.
Online sessions. Webinars run on Zoom, provided by Zoom Communications, Inc., which processes your name, email and connection data to run the session, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. You can join with your camera off and with a first name only. If we record a session, we say so before it starts, and the recording is used only to share it with people who registered.
How long. Webinar registrations are deleted 12 months after the event, unless you have agreed to receive news. Cohort applications are kept for up to 24 months from our last contact, so that we can come back to you for a later cohort; if you take part, we keep what the programme and our accounting require.
Who sees it. Only Martin Fabry and Vladimír Houba, and the providers named on this page.
Emails we send
We send you emails that belong to what you asked for: a reply, a joining link, a reminder, a result. News and invitations to other events go only to people who ticked the box for them, as the Slovak Act No. 452/2021 Coll. on electronic communications requires. Every such email has an unsubscribe link.
Cookies and fonts
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and no analytics run on it. It stores one small item in your browser to remember your cookie choice, which the site needs to work. Fonts are served from our own site, so loading a page sends nothing to Google or other font services.
If we add optional analytics in future, they will only run after you accept them, and this notice will be updated first.
Security
The site runs only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to form submissions is limited to the two founders, each with a personal account.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and a copy in a portable format; to object to processing based on our legitimate interest; and to withdraw consent at any time (Articles 15 to 21 GDPR). Write to hello@chairborn.com. We reply within one month, and may ask you to confirm your identity first.
If you think we handle your data unlawfully, you can file a complaint with the supervisory authority: in Slovakia the Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky, Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava 27, dataprotection.gov.sk; or the authority where you live or work, in Czechia the Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů.
Age
This site and our programmes are meant for adults in professional roles. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes
We update this notice when the way we handle data changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
